Industry talk on the concept art behind The Wolverine, and the new Maze Runner film, at Sydney's inaugural Concept Art meetup!

Come and join us for our inaugural Concept Art meetup on Tuesday the 9th of December at 7pm.

Our group is dedicated to commercial art in the entertainment industry, for both screen and print. We are fans of concept art, graphic novels, and comic books, and we welcome all practitioners and enthusiasts to our inspiring meetup group!

We are meeting in a newly renovated building at North Sydney TAFE, on the corner of Pacific Hwy and Westbourne St. in a spacious, modern room.

The night is set to be loads of fun. We will have artists from the film and television industries giving advice on how to work as a commercial artist in Australia. These experts will include Wayne Haag, who will share his extensive experience working as a concept artist on films like The Wolverine, and Maze Runner, which is currently showing in cinemas now.

There will also be folio reviews, conducted by these experts, so make sure you bring along some of your work to show them if you are a budding artist!

We intend to bring together a strong creative community in Sydney through these events, so we hope that you will join our group.

We are really looking forward to meeting everyone and to having an inspiring inaugural concept art meetup!

Please join us via our meetup page, and let us know that you are going to attend:

Hey! Just wondering, what happened to Sydney Comics Guild? Site looks like it's down for a bit...
Sorry for the long reply -_-
The site has been updated to be simply a blog cause I was neglecting it something awful and non-facebook members of Sydney Comics Guild weren't getting any updates... at all...
Here is the new site: [link]
Now there are more people contributing so hopefully it shouldn't look to 'down'.
It may also have been down when I was updating the site to become a blog, in which case it's up again!
If you have any suggestions for improvement, feel free to tell me!
If you want to contribute to the site, please email me at sydneycomicsguild@gmail.com
Once again sorry for not replying o.o
No worries C: I saw a flyer the other day and so I tried to go on the website, but all I got was a 404. Well it's nice to know that it's up and running!
If your still around you may want to check out our new and improved site at [link]
It still needs work but it's getting there!
If you really want to see club activity go to the Facebook group: [link]
